How it works

How to invite candidates to a skill test

Send each candidate their own one-time link, hand out a single shared link, or email the invite directly. Candidates never create an account, and you only pay when someone actually completes the assessment.

Create an invite

From the Candidates screen, create an invite and choose which test it's for. Add a label - an internal reference only your team sees (for example, "Albert - Senior Frontend"). The candidate enters their own name later, so the label keeps your list tidy without affecting them.

You can require webcam recording for this candidate right from the invite, handy when you want proctoring on a specific high-stakes hire.

Pick the test, add a private label, and choose whether to require webcam recording.

You only pay when a candidate completes

Inviting candidates is free. A single candidate credit is consumed only when a candidate completes an assessment - not when you send an invite, and not when someone merely opens the link and abandons it.

There's no subscription and no per-seat pricing: it's $5 per completed candidate, credits never expire, and every new workspace starts with 3 free credits. Owners and admins get a heads-up email before you run low.

Frequently asked questions

Do candidates need an account to take the test?

No. Candidates open the link, enter their name (and email if the test requires it), and start. There's nothing to sign up for or install.

What's the difference between a unique link and a shared link?

A unique link is generated per candidate and meant for one person. A shared link is a single link you can give to many people, each of whom enters their own name to self-start the same test.

What is the label field for?

The label is a private internal reference for your team (for example, the candidate's name and role). Candidates don't see it - they enter their own name when they start.

When am I charged for a candidate?

Only when a candidate completes an assessment. Sending invites is free, and a candidate who opens the link but doesn't finish never consumes a credit.

Can I stop a shared link from being reused?

Yes. You can regenerate the shared assessment link at any time, which immediately invalidates the previous link while leaving unique per-candidate invites unaffected.
